Shared Supports
In-home supports will be delivered by Life Without Barriers, including overnight supports. We will work with you to develop a support plan around your individual needs, goals, and budget.
This home is shared with one other resident. Depending on your requirements, this provides opportunities to share some or all of your supports with your housemates, maximising value for money in your NDIS Plan.
Life Without Barriers can also provide supports for you in the community, or you can choose your own provider
Who you'd live with
Housemates
The two-bedroom unit is currently vacant, while the adjacent three-bedroom unit is home to three gentlemen aged between 25 and 53. This arrangement may suit someone who prefers to share a property with just one other household member or, subject to appropriate funding and support arrangements, someone who may be able to live independently in their own unit.
The new resident will have the flexibility to choose how much interaction they would like with the residents in the neighbouring unit. They may enjoy developing friendly connections, sharing a chat or cup of tea, and participating in occasional social activities, or they may prefer a quiet and respectful neighbourly arrangement with greater privacy and independence.
The current residents have their own interests, routines and friendships, and generally enjoy a balanced lifestyle that combines independence with shared living. They often pursue activities separately according to their personal preferences. Some enjoy football and attending matches or following their favourite teams, while others have a strong interest in music, including listening, collecting and participating in music-related activities. This creates a relaxed environment where residents can socialise when they choose while maintaining their own routines, interests and personal space.
