The experienced team at Pathways to Better Living will provide SIL supports within the home at a planned 1:3 support ratio, with individual supports tailored around each person's needs, goals and NDIS plan.

Our team can support with everyday activities such as preparing meals, household routines, personal care where required, medication support, appointments, shopping, developing independent living skills and maintaining a comfortable home.

Just as importantly, we support people to have a life outside the home. This may include building community connections, maintaining relationships, exploring interests, participating in activities and working towards greater independence and confidence.

We understand that everyone has different routines, preferences and ways of communicating. Our approach is centred around choice, dignity, consistency and getting to know the individual.

PTBL also works collaboratively with families, guardians, Support Coordinators, Behaviour Support Practitioners, allied health professionals and other members of the participant's support network to help create stable and sustainable supports.

This Banora Point property is intended to feel like exactly that — a home.

It provides shared living areas where housemates can spend time together while still allowing individuals to have their own personal space and privacy.

The aim is to create a relaxed, welcoming household where people can establish their own routines, contribute to the home in ways that suit them and feel comfortable inviting family or important people into their space.

We are carefully considering housemate compatibility rather than simply filling a vacant room. Factors such as lifestyle, personality, routines, interests, communication, support needs and individual preferences will all be considered.

Prospective participants and their support networks are encouraged to visit the home, meet the PTBL team and take the time to decide whether the environment feels right before making any commitments.

This isn't about filling a vacancy — it's about finding the right person to become part of the home.
