How we'll support daily life
Support setup, Staff, and Certifications
You will live with one other person in a modern-day home with your own bedroom, shared living spaces, and support available as part of everyday life. Support workers are available across the day and often overnight. This might suit, if you:
- enjoy being around other people, with similar interests
- like shared routines
- want support available throughout the day
- have high support needs.
Participants with Fully Accessible SDA funding may also be considered.
Our skills and experience
Our highly trained team support people with a wide range of needs, including physical, neurological, cognitive and mental health needs, as well as more complex health support requirements such as High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA).
Life Without Barriers’ disability support staff and house supervisors are trained in safe transfers and mobility support, personal care, medication administration, mealtime management, assistive technology and equipment such as hoists where needed, and in implementing positive behaviour support (PBS) and allied health plans.
Every day we support people with different needs, from day-to-day support through to more coordinated support involving families, allied health professionals and support coordinators.
