Share with Lily Profile

Lily is a 27 year old female. She is a very social person who thrives on connection with others and has a great sense of humour - especially enjoying a bit of slapstick comedy.

Preferences

Lily has a naturally curious nature and feels most at ease when she's with people she knows and trusts. Once comfortable, she shows genuine affection and warmth. Lily communicates effectively using her iPad and key signs to express preferences and make choices.

Lily’s daily routine often includes getting out and spending time in nature, where she especially enjoys connecting with animals—kangaroos and horses are her favourites. In her leisure time, she loves listening to music, singing, and dancing. Lily also enjoys visiting shopping centres and local cafés, where she can engage with her community. She is a big fan of movies, particularly those in the sci-fi, fantasy, and horror genres. Additionally, Lily finds joy in creative activities such as arts and crafts.

Lily benefits from having a clear, structured plan for the day. Knowing what’s ahead helps her feel calm and in control. She enjoys routines but also values meaningful engagement throughout the day.

Living goals

Lily benefits from gentle encouragement and prompts to use her iPad for effective communication. With the right support, she is able to actively participate in everyday tasks, which helps build her independence and confidence. Lily has expressed a strong desire to connect with others—she would love to make more friends and develop positive, lasting relationships. Supporting her social interactions in familiar and inclusive settings is important to help her feel valued and engaged.

Home living environment Activities

Lily is actively supported to participate in community outings and activities that she enjoys. She particularly loves taking train trips, visiting animals, going to the supermarket, and having lunch out. These experiences help her feel connected and engaged. At home, Lily takes part in daily household tasks such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, and organizing groceries. These routines support her independence, provide structure, and promote meaningful engagement in everyday life.

Skills development

Skill development within the home is encouraged by modelling tasks for Lily and gently prompting her to give things a try. Your Bridges Care actively encourages participation in daily household chores, which helps build independence and confidence in everyday living. Increasing physical activity is supported through enjoyable activities to help keep things fun and motivating.

Household routine

Lily typically starts her day early, waking around 7: 00 am. By 10: 00 am, she has completed her personal care and daily household tasks. It is helpful to spend some time during the morning to plan out the day's activities, as having a clear structure supports her sense of calm and control. The support team aim to be ready by 11: 00 am to engage in community activities or outings.

Lily prefers to return home by mid-afternoon to relax and unwind. Preparation for dinner begins around 5: 00 pm, and an evening meal is enjoyed shortly after. Following dinner, Lily likes to relax by watching movies—one of her favourite pastimes. During the warmer months, the team may encourage a visit to the park or go for a walk after dinner. By 8: 30 pm, Lily is ready for bed, bringing a calm close to her day.
