The current residents are both male and female aged between 45-65 years old and communicate using a combination of verbal and non-verbal methods. Most of the residents attend day services throughout the week, and the other enjoys a range of 1 to 1 social and community activities. They enjoy music (both listening and playing), cooking, outings in the community, lunches and BBQ's, attending community events, swimming going for walks and shopping. The residents would like a housemate who likes to socialise but is not too loud or disruptive, someone who will respect their belongings and someone they can chat/hang out with.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) Provider – Yooralla 🀝

The house is staffed seven days a week under an Inactive Sleepover model of care by Supported Independent Living (SIL) provider Yooralla. Their highly trained disability support workers receive specialised training which enables them to provide personalised, high-quality support, empowering individuals with the care they deserve. They provide residents with person-centred support to help them build independent living skills, connect with the local community and participate in social activities.

Things the Applicant Needs to Know βœ… The applicant must be 18-year-old or over. This is an enrolled Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) property; therefore, the applicant will need to have NDIA approved eligibility and the appropriate level of SDA and SIL funding available. The applicant will need to be able to pay rent and utilities. The applicant or their important person will need to establish a Residential Agreement
