Support setup, Staff, and Certifications
On-site shared support (24/7) - You live with a few other people with disability in a shared home with your own bedroom and shared living spaces, with support available in the building day and night. Support is shared, so you can have your own space and privacy, with a disability support worker available when you need them.
Our skills and experience
Our highly trained team support people with a wide range of needs, including physical, neurological, cognitive, and mental health needs, as well as more complex health support requirements such as High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA).
Life Without Barriers’ disability support staff and house supervisors are trained in safe transfers and mobility support; personal care, medication administration; mealtime management; assistive technology and equipment such as hoists where needed; and in implementing positive behaviour support (PBS) and allied health plans.
Every day we support people with different needs, from day-to-day support through to more coordinated support involving families, allied health professionals, and support coordinators.
Who you'd live with
Housemates
This property is home to two female residents aged 19 and 29.
They are social young women who enjoy participating in everyday activities and spending time with people they know and trust. One resident has a warm, caring nature and enjoys music, dancing, cooking, jewellery making and long drives. She takes pride in helping around the home and responds well to encouragement, routine, and opportunities to build her independence and daily living skills.
The other resident enjoys spending time on TikTok and YouTube, getting creative with arts, crafts and carpentry, catching up with friends, and heading out for fast‑food treats. She values connection, humour, and having choice and control in her day‑to‑day life, and thrives in calm, supportive environments where her preferences and boundaries are respected. Together, they enjoy a balance of social and independent activities.
