I am a 22 year old eclectic music devotee lass who is excitedly waiting to move into my new house which is currently being built in a gorgeous leafy and trendy suburb in North Brisbane, and I am looking for someone to share it with! I love watching both live music and watching music videos on You Tube, I also love yoga and going to local markets, but enough about me, the property……. It is located in Ferny Grove, it is a large two bedroom house, each with own ensuite (plus third bedroom and third ensuite for care provider) with a double garage, fully airconditioned (including the garage so it can be used for extra space for things like therapy and music/yoga sessions), there will be lovely high ceilings and an alfresco area. It is located near the train station and some pretty trendy cafes and shops which are all wheelchair accessible by wide footpaths. The house is across the road from a nature reserve and the deal includes provision of all white goods and furniture in common areas (however bring your stuff too!), it will have ceiling hoists and smart technology installed. If that’s not enough the SDA provider NDISP (Home - NDISP - SDA Property) also has a gig called Additional Support Contribution where we each receive a $5200 support contribution (every year!) to use how we best think useful. You will need to have:

  • NDIS SDA determination of house with two residents high physical support, and eligibility for SILS (24/7) support funding,
  • HOWEVER - if you do not have these and are interested in moving out to your own abode then my stakeholder team who have just assisted me to obtain these supports can provide you with some help and tips around the processes to apply for SDA and SILS.

While we do not have to live in each other’s pockets these are the characteristics I hope to find in a flatmate:

  • Any gender,
  • Someone who is easy going, also might love music and enjoy company,
  • Similar age (in twenties)
  • Interstate enquiries are welcome

If you are interested and would like to know more, we would love to hear from you or your family (or your support coordinator) to have a chat about the finer details and answer any questions you have. For further enquiries, please contact: Leeann Milne ph 0481 852 784
