Located in the parklands area of the St George area in Sydney is our lovely double storey home. This home is closely located near Oatley Park and Gannons Park and a short drive to the Georges River National Park. The home has a luxurious living area and has a covered alfresco outdoor entertainment area. You would be sharing with 4 other adults that have moderate support needs and active lifestyles. This home boasts 24/7 SIL support staff and has a vehicle to support you to your daily activities. This home is a short 10 minute drive to Riverwood shops and train station, or is approximately a 15 minute drive to the Hurstville Westfield shopping complex. There is a bus stop just along the road and there are local shops and chemists within a 5 minute walk. The current housemates all live an active lifestyle, all are male and aged between 40-55yrs. One attend supported employment at a local ADE, two of the others attend a day placement service during the week, and one attends a Community College. Each have individual support times whereby they go on their individual activities such as shopping, specialist appointments, going to activities such as being amongst the horses at the racetrack, going for drives down to Wollongong and taking care of the house cat. Theres lots of cooking in the house and bbqs in the alfresco are in the backyard. Your team will hold monthly house meetings so you can plan shared activities and the all important grocery list for the shared menu items. A we use Active Support principles staff will encourage you to participate in the weekly chores that need doing like helping with the gardening, laundry and grocery shopping.

Application Criteria This placement would be suitable for an adult with moderate support needs that requires 1:3 support staff
