Located in the parklands area of the St George area in Sydney is our easy access single level home. This home is closely located near Oatley Park and Gannons Park and a short drive to the Georges River National Park. The home has two accessible bathrooms and no steps leading to the front door. The home has two living areas with two sets of sofas and TV's in case you want to watch something different to your housemates. The rear yard is accessed via a large covered verandah and there is a covered bbq deck area. This home is a short 10 minute drive to Oatley, Mortdale and Penshurst shops and train stations, or is approximately a 15 minute drive to the Hurstville Westfield shopping complex. There is a bus stop just along the road and there are local shops and chemists within a 5 minute walk. Your housemates live a quieter lifestyle. The current housemates have a wide variety of interests and routines including one person who attends work at an ADE, two others that attend day programs, and one person is retired. Some of the activities that they like to do is seeing their families, spending time with individual supports doing favourite activities such as shopping at the local bargain shops and Vinnies, attending church and one housemate really likes to watch cricket and football on TV. Your team will hold monthly house meetings so you can plan shared activities and the all important grocery list for the shared menu items. A we use Active Support principles staff will encourage you to participate in the weekly chores that need doing like helping with the gardening, laundry and grocery shopping.

Application Criteria This property would suit a person with a moderate intellectual disability that requires a single level home with accessible bathrooms.
