Housing Choices South Australia is thrilled to be able to offer apartments within our Spence on Light development, that meet compliance for individuals who require high physical support compliant homes and want to live independently with onsite support.

Set in the heart of city, with easy access to the public transport, educational institutions, recreational activities and Central Market, these apartments are ideal for individuals who want to maintain a high level of independence. Spence on Light has maintained the historic City Mission facade and with the apartments located on the 10 th floor, the views from the bedroom and private balcony seem endless.

Little Mission cafe is located on the ground floor, and provides space to meet friends and family for a coffee, or if you need to buy essential items. You can explore more about Little Mission on various social media platforms.

Our tenants can get involved in the following ways:

Joining our city Community Garden or talk to us about setting one up in your community. Become a member of our Resident Advisory Group and help shape Housing Choices SA. Participate in a broad range of sporting activities. Housing Choices SA currently coordinate swimming, lawn bowls, fishing and walking groups. Come along to meet other residents and hear from our guest speakers at the Housing Choices SA monthly coffee mornings. Meet other like-minded people in a safe space at our LGBTQI+ coffee afternoons. Express yourself creatively with our music group. Join our regular events and participate in our training programs.

The model of support provided by the Supported Independent Living provider, Nextt, will be a concierge model with supports that are also individualised.

Eligible applicants must:

be aged over 18 years. have SDA funded within your National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Plan that meets the design category (Fully Accessible) and dwelling type (Apartment 1-bedroom, 1 resident) or be eligible for such. be able to pay rent and utilities. be able to enter a residential agreement.
