They are a social group who are all up for a chat and getting out and about, however, also value their own personal space. The current residents are an established have developed a family like bond with an established routine. They share common interests in art and crafts as well as cooking and watching TV, they have a small pet dog which they enjoy spending time with. During the week they each head off and participate in different activities. There are some mild BOC to be aware of however a new resident should be able to integrate smoothly, respecting these dynamics and adapting to their shared living environment.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) Provider

St John of God Accord is the NDIS SIL provider in this setting. They are a not-for-profit, mission and values drives organisation. The house is staffed seven days a week with an Inactive (sleep over) model of care. The SIL support team are trained and experienced in delivering high quality positive behaviour supports, Epilepsy Management, Personal Care Assistance and Daily Living Skills Support – Assistance with meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, etc.

Things the applicant need to know The applicant must be 18 years or older. This is an enrolled Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) property therefore the applicant will need to have NDIA approved SDA eligibility and the appropriate level of SDA funding available. The applicant will need to be able to pay rent and utilities. The applicant or their important person will need to establish a Residential Tenancy Agreement.
