Support Model
Sleepover / passive overnight support
- The house is staffed seven days a week under a Sleep Over model of care by supported independent living provider Scope Disability Services.
- Their highly trained disability support workers deliver a high level of support across multiple disabilities.
- They are trained in supporting participants to access and engage in the local community at a one-to-one level or within a group setting.
- They have capacity to implement restrictive practices where required (in line with legislation and best practice), behaviour support, epilepsy & diabetes and mealtime management
- Please be aware there are multiple restrictive practices in place (locked areas) compliant with resident's Behavioural Support Plans.
Who you'd live with
Housemates
3 current housemates
- The current residents group are all independent males aged between 39-50.
- They are all ambulant and communicate through a mixture of verbal and non-verbal methods.
- The residents participate in day services during the week. When they're at home they generally prefer to keep to themselves and enjoy spending time in the gardening, watching football, playing music and singing, watching tv, playing with the cat and having an orderly peaceful environment at home.
- Please be aware there are multiple restrictive practices in place (locked areas) compliant with resident's Behavioural Support Plans.
