A fantastic, recently renovated home in Oakleigh has one bedroom available for a new housemate! Join our friendly group in this beautiful home, updated with accessibility, comfort, and lifestyle in mind.

The home is located opposite a leafy park, within walking distance to Oakleigh Central, Eaton Mall, Oakleigh Train Station, local shops, cafes, restaurants, parks, a medical center and the Oakleigh Sunday Market, offering a welcoming community and convenient lifestyle.

The existing three residents are seeking a fourth housemate to join their friendly home. They are two male and one female Greek-Australians and Cypriot-Australians in their 60 s, although are welcoming to all applicants.

Communal appliances and furniture are provided, and the new housemate is welcome to furnish their bedroom to reflect their personal style and preferences.

SIL Support is provided seven days a week, including a sleepover support model. The SIL provider is experienced in supporting people with dual or multiple disabilities, as well as various health conditions, and focuses on building independence and supporting safe ageing.

Spacious bedrooms, including heating, cooling, and built-in wardrobes, Fully accessible bathrooms (open shower design), Bright, open-plan living and dining, No steps, non-slip environment, suitable for residents using wheelchairs and walking frames, Large, fully equipped accessible kitchen, Landscaped outdoor area with undercover BBQ and seating, Central staff bedroom / office for support overnight, Accessible laundry facilities, Walking distance to shops, public transport, and medical services, SIL provider is attached to the property. Clients are welcome to bring their own community participation / Day Program provider, or we can assist you to locate a suitable provider. Staffing ratios in SIL are provided based on each client’s needs and funding, currently staffed with onsite staff sleepovers 10: 00 pm-6: 00 am, although we can provide active overnight staff if the new resident is funded for this, While the property is SDA standard (improved liveability) and an SDA provider is in place, SDA eligibility and funding are not required / mandatory, Fire monitoring, Board and lodgings “residential charge” are calculated as a percentage of the Commonwealth Disability Support Pension and Commonwealth Rent Assistance. It covers the rental component and service components, including utilities, communications including telephone and Wi Fi, linen, communal food, general household consumable supplies, communal furnishings and whitegoods, household equipment and utensils, cleaning materials, and replacement of any of the above.
