The Heart of the Home Open, Connected and Easy to Navigate
- The central living, dining, and kitchen area creates a natural hub within the home. The open-plan layout allows participants to move freely between spaces while maintaining clear lines of sight, which supports both independence and unobtrusive supervision.
- The kitchen connects directly to the dining and living areas, making it easy to participate in daily routines. An adjustable-height bench is included to support different mobility needs, and the layout ensures there is clear space to move comfortably around appliances and work areas.
- Lighting, controls, and power points are positioned consistently throughout the home, helping make everyday tasks simpler and more predictable.
Participant Bedrooms
- Private, Secure and Designed for Everyday Living
- Each participant bedroom is positioned to provide privacy while still being easily accessible from the main living area. Both bedrooms include built-in storage and direct access to their own private ensuite.
- The bedrooms are designed with reinforced walls and provisions for future ceiling hoists, supporting long-term adaptability without needing major modifications.
- Sound insulation has been included to create a quieter and more comfortable environment, which is especially important in Robust SDA homes.
