Shared Supports
In-home supports will be delivered by Life Without Barriers, including overnight supports. We will work with you to develop a support plan around your individual needs, goals, and budget.
This home is shared with four other residents. Depending on your requirements, this provides opportunities to share some or all of your supports with your housemates, maximising value for money in your NDIS Plan.
Life Without Barriers can also provide supports for you in the community, or you can choose your own provider.
Who you'd live with
Housemates
Four long-term, housemates, a mix of three males and one female, aged in their 50's and 60's. The residents have strong friendships and a supportive environment.
The residents have a variety of interests, including going out in the community, socialising, cooking, reading, drawing, and being creative. They also enjoy gardening, going for walks, kicking and throwing a ball, listening to music, and attending discos. The housemates are very helpful around the house and share interests in war movies, history, and general films. They enjoy going to the pub for meals and drinks, as well as engaging with sensory items and music.

Ashwood is located approximately 14 kilometres southeast of Melbourne's Central Business District, offering convenient proximity to the city. It features amenities such as Ashwood Shopping Centre and the nearby Chadstone Shopping Centre, one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. Residents can enjoy recreational spaces like Gardiners Creek Reserve and Ashwood Reserve.
Public transport is well-serviced, with Holmesglen and Ashburton train stations nearby and several bus routes connecting Ashwood to surrounding areas. Medical facilities include Monash Medical Centre in Clayton and Cabrini Hospital in Malvern, along with various local GP clinics.
Ashwood hosts attractions such as the Gardiners Creek Trail, ideal for walking and cycling. The suburb has several community facilities like the Ashwood Community Centre, libraries, and sporting clubs.
