Support Model
Active overnight support
- This house provides 24/7 support, including active night support.
- Staff supporting individuals within this service have skills and competencies in: Autism, Positive and Complex Behaviour Support, Epilepsy Management, Sensory Management, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and PCAS.
- Access to a fully maintained modified vehicle, for transport within a 30km radius of the house. Annual fee applies.
Who you'd live with
Housemates
- Must have or be eligible for NDIS Supported Independent Living funding.
- Must have or be eligible for basic, or above, Specialist Disability Accommodation funding.
- Is seeking active night support.
- Current housemates are all men.
- Housemates are aged 18–30.
- All housemates are non-verbal and communicates using gestures or a communication aid.
- Each of the current housemates attend community participation programs.
- Each housemate has their own network, interests and activities that they pursue individually with the support of staff.
- There are opportunities for housemates to socialise and engage in special events if they choose to.
- Staff take a Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) approach in their daily living and household activities
- There are authorised restrictive practices in place at this house as some housemates require additional support to stay safe.
